As a bilingual-bicultural clinician, my unique background, skills and qualifications empower interracial and international couples to embrace their diversity while embracing their love. I was born and raised in Santiago, Chile, I lived in Switzerland, studied in Germany and I received my degree in Counseling Psychology in the United States where I have been practicing since 2017.
Because of my bi-cultural background, I can facilitate deeper conversations around cultural differences that may arise in your relationship. I am equipped to help couples to explore how their backgrounds shape their perspectives, fostering empathy and understanding.
I can guide you in discussing the challenges of acculturation, where one partner may feel pressure to conform to the other's culture. By providing support and strategies to balance cultural integration, I will help you maintain your unique identities while building a joint relationship.
Because of my bicultural perspective, I can identify potential sources of conflict rooted in cultural differences.
My tailored approach will help you effectively handle societal pressures and familial expectations that may arise because of your cultural differences.
